ABOUT

Phyllis Lefohn, of MountainSpirit Qigong, has studied the movement of Qi for more than 40 years, in both China and the US, and has taught Qigong since 1994.

Phyllis was introduced to a few Qigong routines during a Taiji workshop in Helena, MT in 1992...and was so excited that she sought out more Qigong. Unbeknownst to Phyllis at the time, that first weekend Qigong workshop in Portland would evolve into a monthly commute that ultimately led to teacher certification from Professor Chen, Hui Xian at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, extensive studies with Professor Chen, repeated trips to China to learn from, and certify with, many different Qigong Masters...and most importantly, a lifelong love affair with Qigong.

Following the retirement of Professor Chen, Phyllis began studying with Master Liu He and Dr Liu Dong, founders of the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School.  After completing the rigorous 6-year Master Teacher program, Phyllis was certified as a Master Healing Qigong Teacher by Ling Gui.  She remains immersed in Qigong studies with Dr Liu Dong and Master Liu He, and joyfully continues to pursue both her own Qigong practice and teaching.

Phyllis and her husband, Allen, have resided in the mountains of Montana since 1976.  It is there, among the boulders and the Ponderosa Pines, tended by the bear, the deer, the raven, and the coyote, that the very spirit of MountainSpirit Qigong was nurtured, until becoming a reality in 1996...and continuing to this very day.
